What type of antifreeze to use in a 1500 and where is the best place to buy it?

Thanks

The only thing that is critical is that it is silicate free. The jug should specifically say that. Honda Motorcycle coolant is ridiculously priced. If you have a local honda Car dealership they sell it by the gallon and the price is more reasonable. Others use different makes but this is one thing that I spend a few bucks on and use OEM.

silicate free is correct, and critical... silicates work like abrasives...bad on wings.

Good ol' Prestone says silicate free. That is what I put in mine.

Prestone 50/150 Extended Life is silicate free as is Peak Extended Life anti-freeze. Most of the manufacturers websites will have that information on their products.

Prestone 50/150 here, too. Wal-mart is probably your best and cheapest bet.

That's what I put in my 1500 after I changed the timing belts, Prestone 50/150. The antifreeze I drained looked as good as the new I put in and the inside of the radiators looked like new.
Even though the previous owner(s) didn't take care of the timing belts....they were 17 years old with 42000 miles.....they did take care of the cooling system.
