I had a cx500 custom, and loved it. Lots-o-scoot! Nimble, fun, the whole thing. I did find that the side to side two cylinder nature did vibrate more than you want for a long ride, but if she is doing day trips, it probably wouldnt bother her.
All in all, though, I think she would love it. Also, a buddy had an S-wing for almost 18 years. He loved it too. He was meticulous about the maintenance and service, and sold it at the end for only $250 less than he paid for it. I dont know the amount, but it shows that if cared for, are sound purchases.
