Auction is over but thought I'd post it for those who never seen them. I never seen a set. How much fuel would they hold? How'd they look on the bike? Interesting and hardly seen item. JR

They used to be advertised in the back of every issue of Cycle World, and at one time Cycle magazines. But the tanks looked to be longer and held an additional 1 1/2gal per side.(3gal total)



Doesn't seem possible that it was 26 years ago... :gunhead:

i think they were plumped so you could use them as a reserve or as a added main tank supply with a cross over tube. any way it had a 3 postion valve . i do rember that. but then that was in the early 80s when they had the gas shortage . i have seen another on a bike. oh they were also filled with a stainless steel meash inside. the gray matter getting dimmer , i do belive.
