What ever this is, it is mounted in the right side of my Faring on my 83 Aspencade. Does anyone know what it is? (Radio is on the Left side of my faring.)

Thank You,

Sincerely,

Nightrider1

That is your AM/FM tuner. It also connects to the station display on the dash.

Thanks. One more Question. I have a dual antenna for a CB/Radio, because it is adjustable on the antenna. The only part that I have found running from the cable looks like a standard Radio Aantenna Plug. Could this be for the CB? If Not, Where is the CB antenna connector at?
Thanks,
David

Inside the left side fairing pocket underneath the cassette player is the antenna splitter, usually. If the bike has never had a cb installed then the antenna splitter may not be there as it comes with the cb install kit.

Complete cb install kit. You can't see it for the cables but the antenna splitter is underneath the cables in the lower right section. I now have 4 of the splitters, with one being from Sierra Electronics that allows a standard cb PL259 cable connector to hook to it. I got this kit off Ebay 3 weeks ago for 24 bucks plus another box with all the headset intercom cables in it. Everything is new except the actual cb unit. It won't transmit but has very good reception my other one didn't have.

Mike,
I did take the cover off of the right side, and I did not see a spliter. However though, is another control box in the left side of my Faring. Could this be for the CB? The antenna cable runs to the right side though. That is what puzzels me.
Thanks,
David

The box just forward of the left fairing pocket is the distribution component unit that all the other units connect to. This one is the newer one that came out in 83 with an extra intercom unit piggy backed onto it. In this pic not everything is hooked up yet but now all the plugs are filled on the bike.
