I have a 1985 Aspencade

i would like to put a plug for a ipod or mp3 on the bike

witch wires i can use going in the amp ?

i have tryed ever thing i can thank of .

if your fm radio is working properly, buy an inline FM modulator. plugs between the radio and the fm antena, it feeds the ipod signal directly to a preset fm station. no modifications to the bike wiring nor the radio are needed.

The FM modulator is the way to go. Very simple setup and less risk of blowing a channel.

The FM Modulator is ok but you do get interference from other stations but isn't too difficult to set up.

Only if you use the wireless version. A wired version will not pickup any radio stations as the build in switch disconnects the antenna.

I used the Audiovox FM100a for about $49.00, works great.

Recently I cooked mine by mounting it in front of the gas cap so I went to Sierra Electronics and had them install the iPod modification for $120.00 and couldn't be happier.
