I'm trying to figure out where to mount my Auxilary lights on my 1200 Aspencade..

I will have a trailtech HID 30w spot on my left side and a 30W flood on my right (for critters). I figure I have two places I can mount them...on the crash bars or get the light bar that mounts to the upper radiator tabs. I have lousy lights mounted to the crash bars now so that would be easiest since the wiring is already there, but I'm afraid the the lights might not be mounted "outboard" enough to not have some of the beam bounce off the front fender and tire. Also, will the lights be mounted too low?

With the lightbar. no worries about height of the lights, but they will be the first thing to hit pavement on an accidental tipover..

Any thoughts?

I agree, mount them low and you can adjust the angle so they project out wherever you like. And lets not discuss "accidental tipover".
