I haven't had this model of Avon's . I had a set of Venoms and I loved the way they rode on my 1800. They were quiet, sticky in the corners, never wobbled until I had a bulge on the rear tire. Up to that point I never felt uncomfortable on them.

I was unable to get the manufacturers reps to stand behind their product. It is only because they don't stand behind their product that I can't recommend them. Your experience with the tires may be different. If you do get a set please check them before and after every ride. It took just about 3,000 miles for mine to bulge.

Your bike is somewhat lighter than mine and I suspect you are also somewhat lighter than me. (I'm 6'4 - 270). They may work better for you than they did me.

I had a steering damper on the Motoguzzi, and I have always wondered why Honda did not put one on the goldwing.
