Rebuilt carbs, stopped hesitation, ran good for a few miles, them started running bad, took carbs back out, checked floats and hoses, everything looked good, put back in bike, rode a few miles, ran great for a couple of miles, then bad again, when I would give the bike gas it would backfire through the carbs, got home setting in driveway, gave bike gas seemed to rev fine. HELP!!!!!

What year is your 1500? How many miles on it? Has it sat for a long period unused?
How did you rebuild the carbs? What did you use for kits and parts replaced? How far did you strip them down to?
How did you clean the carbs?
Yes the carbs do need to be resynced after rebuilding, and prior to that the idle mixture needs to be idle drop method set

backfiring

88, has 46k miles, had sat for a year, but I was riding with hesitation, carbs taken completely apart, soaked in carb cleaner bucket, used Siriusconic kit, syn helped a lot, but is running rich, going to take back apart and reset floats.
