Back on two wheels...

Hi Folks... Another newbie here... I just posted a little tidbit, and thought I should do the into too...

Been on 4 wheels for 25 years... Lot's of bikes and ATVs growing up, but then wife and kids became the priority. Wanted a bike for a LONG time, and now was finally in a situation where I could get one. Mentioned it to a buddy last spring, and he said he was selling his and should come over and look.

My idea was to get a little bike just to ride around on the back roads, etc. When I got to my buddy's house, there sat a '83 GL1100 Interstate. "No WAY!" was my reaction... He told me to sit on it... and BAM! I paid the man in cash! Sweet!!!

So I had my bike... Took a lot of practice to get use to and I am definitely still learning. Counter-steering finally clicked in my mind this spring and understanding that and being able to control it makes riding SOOO much better.

Anyway, my original plan was to learn on this bike and "upgrade" to a Harley. After all, being from Wisconsin, it made perfect sense. Well, since, I have fallen in love with this bike... Now I may someday get a "another" bike... But it will be difficult to choose between a HD and a 1500... But I'm sure you know which way I am leaning... LOL!
