So, last summer, the GL1200 started intermittently registering a full gas tank, then nothing, then half full, etc. Finally, it quit working all together. So, figuring I had a bad fuel sender unit, I found one on e-bay and dutifully spent some paypal bucks to get it here. Of course, I do nothing immediately, so today, decided it was time to quit being a couch potato and go out and replace it.

Took seat off, started trying to figure out how to get it off, and low and behold discovered that the connection was loose. Sure enough, plugged it back in, and it appears to work just fine. Sheesh.

But, did find out battery was dead, so put the charger on it.

One more spare part for the spare part shelf, I guess.

At least you didn't have to buy more parts!

The old loose wire trick, hmm.

All of us have extra crap we bought for no use. I have an extra radiator because I didn't really have a leaky radiator. Oh well. Lost payPal bucks.

It's no loss to have a bunch of spares. You can always sell or trade them, I've got a bunch, got a few like you did, and have been able to make a few bucks and also donate parts to needful people.
