Do I need to replace the rotar before tire is insltalled and balanced? Or do they just balance the tire without the rotar installed?

Is the old rotor still mounted? If so it should be fine to balance even if it is warped or grooved. My experience is to have them balanced with the rotor mounted. You could balance with the old rotor then simply replace it with the new one once you get the new rotor. It shouldn't effect the balance of the wheel.
