In March of 2010 I bought a Gl1500 with 32,000 miles on it. I read about the bank angle sensor recall on this forum. Upon checking , I did not find the X chiseled into the frame that they were supposed to do when it was replaced so I checked with my local dealer. They checked the Honda data base and said that it had never been replaced. They ordered the part and it was replaced today at no charge.
I realize that this was a federally mandated recall and they are obligated to do it, but it is still kind of cool that it was a 22 year old recall.
WhenI need OEM partsI order them from my dealer. They always give me a discount which brings them into line with the internet.
