Seems like a lot of us just buy batteries and put them into service like i normally do and they dont last that long but found this online that might be useful anddont forget to inspect your drain hose if you use a wet cell if you want to keep your exhaust nice on a 1000 or 1100.JB http://www.ibmwr.org/otech/newbattery.html

I'm pretty sure thats the same info I got with my last battery I purchased. The standard battery comes uncharged & dry & directions are with the battery.
