Ain't that the truth!
You should see all the 'protective' gear they put on just to play a game of football over here, plus they have about 100 members on each team, (only 11 on the field at a time though) and they still keep stopping after a few seconds of play to talk about it for a couple of minutes. Never mind that only one guy gets to kick the ball a couple of times each game.
Boring!
Still the cheerleaders are entertaining!
This is why American football stadiums have seating throughout the 'stands', and they serve hotdogs, beer, and stuff, just to keep the audience happy.
In England you go to a real football game and almost everyone is standing in the stands, screaming their lungs out for 1 1/2 hours plus, no cheerleaders in sight, and everyone is focused on the excitement of the game, heck the entire city can hear and feel the adrenaline rush surging out of the stadium during a game.
