I have a 83 GL1100 that I am rebuilding the carbs on,when I got the carbs off I found the shaft on #4 was bent. My question is will this cause trouble when I start to sync the carbs?

Thanks Dannie

Probably will depending on where it's bent and how much.

If it's the shaft I'm thinking about, I've got to wonder how it got bent. Can you supply a pic?

It is bent just as it comes out of the carb where the linkage is attached. It dose not bind in any way. How it got bent I do not know it was that way when I took the carbs apart.

Rule 1. Always blame it on the previous owner. ;)

If it was mine, I'd probably try to gently bend it back if I could or just try it. Unless you can find a generous person on here who might be willing to part with one?
