There should be better protection for our feet. My boots still get soaked on long journeys in the rain. Teemagers on cheap mopeds can wear trainers and keep them dry, so I'm sure Honda can add a proper flap that comes down under the gearchange and brake lever so that we keep drier. It's something simple like this that can make a big difference.

Or even a Bucket Shield like on My last Ultra Classic ( Harley) In front of this bucket could be flush mounted Fog Lights or driving lights. The Wider seperation between the lights is a plus Also.

The exhaust shields could easily be shaped to do this, maybe flared out at the gear and brake lever ends.

The plastic lower cowl could easily be extended to under the cylinder heads and shaped to protect our feet. This is a long overdue modification, wet feet on a touring motorcycle is not my idea of fun.

......and what, the idea died back in Jan 2006?

Anyone make a set. I fully intend on running this particular wing into the ground- so late season, early season and running when it might rain.
deflecting the air around my lower legs would be a huge step in the comfort zone, I see something called "wings" for 1500's, anything for the 1200?
thanks

I think the original poster was aiming this at Honda for an as-standard part of any new Goldwing. I'm sure the Goldwing design people could think of a way to extend the lower exhaust shields to provide foot protection from the rain.
