When I picked it up I found that the bike already has AirCannons on it. Gotta love air horns...

VERY NICE! I understand many prefer the wee to the 1 Litre.

Dat's gonna be a fun ride!

Red and I do! We seriously test-rode the 650, and thought we could tour on it...... found it to be a seriously good motorcycle!

I wanted to buy one after the death of my 1500, but couldn't find one!

How do you find the ride, UbarW?

I wanted to ask too but I did not want to sound like a drooling idiot. Thanks for taking that burden off of me.

Its a 2008 Suzuki VStrom 650. They refer to the smaller of the two (the other is 1000cc) as the WeeStrom. Due to the colors, I dubbed it the BumbleWee.

I just got back from the first real ride. Only about 50 miles, 10 of it on dirt. I rode the dirt slow as its been 30 years since I've been offroad.

The wee isnt an expert at anything, but it is good at many things. I love how easy it corners, and it accelerates nicely for its size. Its lite, pretty user friendly, and fun.

The PO changed the front sprocket from 15t to 16t, which will give it longer legs. I also have a 17t that came with it, but am not sure if thats too much.

Its a hoot to ride...

That is nice really looks like a blast to ride,

What's not to like about the Wee Strom, or, in UbarW's case, the BumbleBee?

Versatile, responsive, dependable, a joy to ride, carries two plus campgear -- and cheap! You can nearly buy two for what I paid for the ST, and three or four for what you'd pay for a new Wing.....

In today's economic climate, the Wee Strom makes enormous sense. I love Goldwings, but, $7000 sounds sweeter than $20,000, way better.......

It's not the tool, but the experience that matters!

Serriosly tall screen on your Wee, there Dick!

How is it when you're up on the pegs. Does it touch/interfere with your upper body??

I've thought about getting either one of those,aKLR or the Kawi Versys(don't like the muffler under the motor), but thought that if I ever ventured that way, it would be a WeeVee. I had a Suzuki before and it was a great bike!!

I like it! :clapper: :cooler:

That windshield is very tall. I am not crazy about it-dont like looking through it. BUT, its silky smooth behind it so I am going to go with it for awhile... Its a California Scientific.I think mine is +8.5 inches- sounds like a lot, but remember the stock WeeShield is pretty low...

You need a little Autobot decal on it somewhere.Just a small one. That be cool. lol

Those V Storms are like small rocket ships.. Hard to keep ups with and impossible the pass..
Be careful.........

It looks sharp. How does it sit? What is the seat height like. As you are all aware,,, I'm a little vertically challenged.

Very nice!!! That tall windshield is way too tall for my liking (didn't know they made them that tall).

I bought mine a year ago and it's the best bike I've ever owned. It does everything pretty darn well. It's not a sport bike, but I regularly out-perform my buddies on their Ducatis, it's not a dirt bike, but it does pretty well in the rough stuff - better than my roomate on his BMW GS1200 (and he's been ridingoffroad for 50 years), and it's not a tourer, but I sure love touring on it.

It's a compromise bike, but such a good design that you don't have to compromise much.

I put 16,000 miles on mine in the first 12 monthswith no problems whatsoever. The thing is very tough, the SV650-based engine is powerful and bullet proof, and it just keepsgiving mea $#^&-eating grin under my helmet.

I jumped on a BMW R1100R to ride to work this morning (storing it for a friend) and immediately missed the V-Strom. The Beemer is a nice bike, but the V-Strom is a much sweeter ride.

But the way they look, you won't be "pickin' up chix". :D

Seriously cosmetically-impaired vehicles. But I'd have one here in a heartbeat!!

Eye of the beholder... I've had several chicks on the back of mine. And the V-strom looks better in person - had many compliments (or maybe they were just feeling sorry for me). :waving:

They arent ugly from the riders point of view. I only see what lay in front of me from that perspective.

And, I dont think they are bad looking. The headlights are funky, but who gives a flip about that as you gobble up the twisties and look for dirt roads.

This is where I had my morning coffee today. My trusty 35 year old thermos fits in the bags...
