So glad warmer weather is finally here. Lost my flag the day I took this but a new replacement just arrived from Cyclemax. :smile2:

Supposed to get up 58* or so today, I think I will get the little Piaggio out and go for a ride.

Hi WingRider101+,

Thank you.......
It took me a total of 1200 hrs (800 hrs labour and 400 hrs searching for data, know how, parts etc. on the internet) to renovate it between 2014-2015, whereas it actually was still in perfect condition, but it had been stored without any driving from 1983- 2014....31 years

Indeed I polish it and talk with friends about it, however I also ride it ...........
Only with dry weather conditions....

I went in full detail to restore it.....incl. after painting the frame, inserting 400ml tectyle rustprevention in the whole chassis incl. immediately tumbling 3x 360 degr. to get the stuff everywhere........

The GL1000 is stored in my garage parralel to another car and in order to arrange the best stocking pattern it has to be towed backwards on a light slope which can not been overcome with manually towing.........
I use a 230V vertical electr. winch/hoist, mounted to the wall (125kgf single part / 8 mtr per minute / in the picture 2 parts; later 3 parts); with that I can tow the GW, normally sitting on the saddle in backwards direction onto his parking place with a comfortable 375 kgf and 4,4 cm per sec.
I have an electric control box wit long cable in my hand......everything is really perfect under control
