How much oil is in the air cleaner? Some is normal and no it has nothing to do with the valves.

It is not a pool or puddle,,, but a good splatter of oil. It is in the air filter a bit,,,, not much more then a 2 inch diameter that is wet with oil.

I think it is more then it should be,,,,,,, just don't look "normal".

I'm not really up to speed on 1500s but all the other models have a trap for oil that gets in the air cleaner from normal crankcase ventilation and it has to be emptied occasionally as part of maintenance. If it hasn't been emptied it can be overfull to the point of spilling oil back into the air cleaner.

Yes,,,,,,, there are 2 tubes that need to be drained as needed, and I forgot about them.:gunhead::gunhead::gunhead::gunhead:

oil cant just come from the engine intake to the air filters, dont worry, valves are ok. it is probably the breather system oil

The 2 drain tubes only produced about 1-2 ounce's. I've drained more then that in the past with no ill effects.

I had her running with the filter out, so I was able to pour a little Sea Foam straight into the carbs while running. Then I give it a good dose in the gas tank. So now I'm producing an excuse to make a run to Wal-Mart ,,,,,,,,, (and have to take the long way).

I'll see how she runs.
