We almost had Bear steaks in May, the smoker grill would have been the thing except Mama bear was probably lurking in the woods near the roadside. Cutting steaks off a live bear might be a little challenging :shock:

I was just planning a ride down the Blue ridge parkway. Can I join? Where are you starting, how far and how long, north or south or both? Does anyone camp out along the way?

It is a day ride. We leave at 8:30 am from the Advance Auto Parking lot located on N. Patterson Ave near US52 in Winston-Salem. We will travel some backroads over to Fancy Gap then south. According to the mile markers it is about 90+ miles to US321. We take numerous rest stops to chat and relieve ourselves. We want everyone to be headed for home at a good hour so we will take 421 or 321 which ever comes first.
