I have read a couple of posts on this board and want to throw in a cleaning product. I was introduced to a cleaning product Called boms away. This is the alloy polish. If I hadnt had seen it work I wouldnt have belived it. My fromt wheel on the beast i slike chrome no kidding. They have another product called the Bom. This is the cleaner and polish. all in one take it with you on the road and you can use it on a dirty bike. I tried to scratch the company car with it before I used it on the beast but couldnt. No powder to deal with no streaks and it works great on the windscreen. Just punch in The Bom on your search engine and it should come up. You blokes over there in the UK will have to order it from Florida. Great board By the way.

I'v eheard good words about Boms Away Coal. Like all good stuff it can't be got this side of the water so we have to pay shipping & customs to get these things.

I have a tub of stuff called Mothers that was brought back from the USA. It's much better than Autosol or Peak.

Mothers is a great Aluminium mag polish. but I wish you could see the bom work on The mags on my GL 1800 All I do is wipe it on with no effort and buff off and bobs your uncle instant chrome. No kidding. I have a question. Can you get Cafferys ale in Ireland. I hada pint in Wigan a few years ago It was nector. You just cannot get it here!

Hi Coal. Yes you can get the Caffreys here. It's not really that popular but does make a nice change. The stuff you had in Wigan wouldn't have been the real deal either, I think the English water the stuff down!! :p

I use a product called Ultimate Lustre. AMAZING is all I can say. I can wash the bike in the garage and never need water. It cleans the bugs off like majic. Its like forty buck a quart but I went out of my way to get a refill. GOOD STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have it here with me but I'll try to remember to get the name of the distributor and post it when I get home. Its an aerosol but you have to pump it up.

I've used BOM, works well. I used it mostly on the road after a long days ride to clean up the bike when water wasn't handy by.
