:waving:The 1982 GL1100 did not come from the factory with a fork brace. The '83 GoldWing is the only GL1100 that came stock with a fork brace. You'll have to use an after market brace such as the "Super Brace". A fork brace from the '83 with not fit the '80-82 GoldWings as they do not have the mounting points on the forks.

If it is currently on an '82, it will fit. If the '82 forks it came off of says TRAC down by the end of the forks, then those are '83 forks. Then no, it won't.

The '80-'82 brace clamps onto the tubes, the '83 brace is held on with 4 bolts. Just like the GL1200 has.

:waving:Yup, an after market brace on an '82 will fit all '80-'82 GL1100's.
