I've tried OEM and years ago the non-name brand from Sabre(yeah yeah but that was a long time ago) and now run EBC.

The stock OEM lasted for quite a while, when it was time to replace them I didn't feel like paying top dollar for OEM or hunting around town and picked up a set of very meaty pads from Sabre(probably same quality as EMGO(?) and probably made in China or India (can't remember)). The meaty Sabre pads were terrible and I suspected that theyretained some moisturebecause after a thorough water drenching, it wouldn't roll easily or stop as quick, but the travel would stop after they'd heat up. And rustyrotors were not the problem.

So I replaced them with EBC nonmetallic and no problems since. And you can hold EBC pads in your hand and know they'rea quality pad.

Now I change the EBC pads on every other tire change so I'm getting 14k-20k on them. But they still have plenty of meat on them at 14k though. I've heard of people getting 40k+ on EBCbut I haven't seen what they look like. I'd guess on the rivets.

Also my opinon on the EMGO brand name: It sucks and now I stay away from them. I've gotten some EMGO stuff for other bikes, and some of their stuff is good, but some of it is total junk. I've gotten oil filter bolts that are pretty decent to replace stripped filter bolts, but I bought a set of crotchrocket mirrors that broke into 2 partswhile tightening duringassembly. And they were right out of the package. Sowhen EMGO decides to sellfolks junk, it's really junk.
