I have a 1995 Aspencade. Does anyone know if the rear brake master cylinder rebuild kit can be installed without taking the cylinder off the bike. I have the factory manual but I know someone always seems to have an easier/better way to do maintenance on these bikes. I am new to this forum but have been lurking for over a year and have gained some really good maintenance information here. Thanks in advance for advice that may be offered.

I doubt it. That darned circlip is impossible to get at with the MC in the bike. Much easier to take it out and do the job on the bench. When dicconnecting everything, make sure you have the exhaust muffler covered with plastic or it will be ruined with brake fluid.

BTW welcome to the forum.

Welcome Tom H . Removing the MC is easy enough. But you might need to use a vicegrips to get the union nuts started.

Hello Tom H. The MC is easy to remove and much easier to repair on a clean bench, less chance of damaging the new seals that way.
