BATTERY IS GONE!
Thanks to all and I am glad I was able to help another winger.

Jim.

My loss is your gain.
I bought a new battery because that is what the tech said I needed.
BIG surprise...he was wrong!

I needed a new alternator.
Only one I could find in a pinch was a Comp-U-Fire. And they will not work with a standard lead-acid battery.

So here is my situation...
I have a brand new battery that you can have if you pick it up.
Can not ship a wet cell you know.

I live in Baltimore Maryland.

Anyone need a battery?

Jim.

Good luck Snorebaby,

Its fun getting the old one out...but wait til you try to get the Comp in.
WOW!
You talk about a tight fit.
The engineers worked overtime finding just the right angle to make those buggers go in.

Hi. Glad to see another winger from Md. Do you know if it can be put on an Gl1100. This is a great web site.

Very good possibility it might Dan.
The same listing is on an 1980 GL1100.
What year is yours?

You may want to check more.
But I can also provide measurements:

Model Y50-N18L-A3

Height: 6-1/2"
Width: 8-1/2"
Depth: 3-1/2"

Jim,

Thanks for theoffer....free is always a great price. That's why I love this site wingers helping wingers stay in the wind. It has helped solve a couple of mechanical problems I've had with my bikes that would have cost me many frustrating hours of trial and error.

Currently both batteries are working but I'm sure someone on this forum will benifit from your kindness.

Also good tohear fromanother B-More rider.
