That's why if we were to build one ourselves, we would have to change quite a few things. the plastic parts are good for weight management, but are typically prone to breaking. the engine could be lighter, but would have to be made to withstand the torque, pressure, abuse, etc. as well as the trans. I think the drive shaft idea would have to stay though. A chain might be lighter, but i've heard more stories about chains going bad then drive shafts. I might change the front a little bit too as well as the electrical system. But that's if we are going to be starting on something new. I really enjoy my 04 though.I hardly think the 'best motorcycle' would be one on which the frame is prone to break and the plastic parts fall off upon hitting a bump, is very difficult to service and heavy as a hippo.
That's also a good idea, and unfortunately American Eagle is already taken, but it could be something like "US Eagle Motorcycles : Apache 1800" or just put the name of the tribe and have it understood that one name is the 1200 and another is the 1800. something like that would work.Name the different types of cc bikes after the different Indian tribes and if it sells give these tribes some of the proceeds for using their tribes name.We forget they were here before we were.I'm a American but they are really the true Americans.
