Burn out remedy!

I was dangerously close to a mental fart-down yesterday, but ol' Fred came and got me at oh-dark-thirty, and we rode some gravel to the top of Quartz Mountain, Washington State, 6000', where it was threatening to snow! Snow in August! We reached the top in a swirl of cloud, but it was worth it anyway! All of you who think that you are burning out? Buy a dual-"porpose" and get out on some gravel....guaranteed to get your juices flowing again! After this ride, I was cured again of boredom and "stinkin' thinkin'.....!)

On the way to Quartz Mountain.....

In that mist in front of the bikes is a 500' drop, and somewhere else in that mist is the best view of Mt. Rainier going.....trust me!

Fred answering nature's call, I would have answered, too, but it was so cold I couldn't find the necessary equipment!

Yeah ... but then, remember, we only get to ride 8-9 months a year, then the snow comes and we have to put up with this! Poor us.....!

I-90 is supposed to be down from four lanes to one over there! And I-405 is supposedly closed! All those unemployed "informational technologist" types ought to be going off their gourds and shooting each other in the traffic snarls that are bound to be coming!

Oh, yeah, I'd rather be trapped on a melting, four-foot-squareice floe in the Arctic Ocean -- with my ex-wife (!) --than to go over to the "westside" during the next few days!

If I don't show up, John, just start without me, baby! Have fun!

Lol, there are other ways over here besides I90, and much more scenic. And do you think I'm planning on getting involved in that traffic mess? Not a chance friend!! I'm not to worried about the Peninsula or island traffic though. ;)
