First off, never let a buddy tinker with your bike when he doesn't know what he's doing. I have a 93 GL1500A and the reverse is not working correctly. When you engage the level, then push the start button it will lunge back then stop. I have read about this issue here so I'm sure I can get that fixed down the road. What my friend decided to do was keep pushing the start button quickly which burned out solenoid. I have ordered a new one, but my question is, the new wiring harness has 4 wires coming from the C41 clip and my old one only has 3. Am I missing a wire?? Maybe the PO removed something?? Still a little new to the DIY game but want to be sure I'm fixing it correctly. Thanks in advance and added a pic of the burned out harness.

Don't worry about it, you only need 3 wires. Most of the older models had 2 red wires but the 1500 only has 1.
