Question which has probably been posted like 30 times.

Has anyone ever dealt with a company called exporttrader.com?

They seem to bid on bikes at auction for you and arrange to have them transported wherever you want OUTSIDE the USA.

go to Google and type in:

review exporttrader

and you get pages of info on them.
I read somewhere that you had to be VERY CAREFUL doing business with them.

ie, you bid on a bike and they require you to post a deposit. Even though you may not win. You get outbid in about 5 minutes and they hold your deposit for weeks! :(

ie, you win the bid, but the bike you were bidding on is not the one they send to you. It is only one of a batch they are putting up for auction.

ie, the pictures they post are never good enough to determine if what you see is what you get. Again, makes it difficult to determine if you got what you bid on.

Too many Gotcha's in the camp for me to fool with them.

Best you find something on the forum, or on craigslist or eBay. If you find something on craigslist or eBay, do not buy it unless a forum member can personally inspect it for you.

Even when dealing with a forum member, it would be beneficial to have a second forum member meet up and inspect it for you. Never hurts to have more information than you need. Not getting enough information can hurt you bad though.

I have mentioned to several folks on both sides of the pond and down under that I am more than happy to act as a non-profit middle man to make it as safe for you guys as possible.

At the moment, NARCED from down in Aussie land has a box setting on my desk waiting for another box to arrive. That way I post all of his eBay purchases off to Aussie land in a single shipment and he saves a lot of bux in shipping costs.

Just my 3 cents worth....
