I use "RAM Mounts" you might think they are a bit pricey, but they do the job very well and there are so many to choose from. I rode 5,700 miles and took 2,400 pics (some video too) on my trip out west and the camera was on the mount as long as I was in the saddle.

They also have mounts for GPS units.

And this one has them also and their shipping was fast for me,,,,,,, about 3 days.

Let the wife or girlfriend hold it while on the back seat.

Nancy surprised me and did the entire Tail of the Dragon that way last year.

That way when you see something interesting you can yell and she can point and shoot.

I don't think I would enjoy the weight of the camera on my head. My neck is not in good shape after a few spinal injuries.

I'll stick with Winger77's and my recommendation: stick it solid to the bike's handlebars. It looks where you are pointed at.

Also, with the neat swivel mount adjustment provided by the Ram Mount stuff, it is easy to loosen the swivel just a tad and turn the camera for those neat sideways shots.

I've seen a small video camera that was helmet mountable. I remember it being about the size of a fat cigar and had quite a bit of memory. It would also take stills.

I' would have to really search to find the site again where I saw it.
