So serviced the drive shaft today and managed to get it reconnected to the universal with minimal problems.

My issue now is that the right side air shock appears to have an air charge as it is too long to easily mount.

Is there a way to deflate its air charge without having the compressor panel connected?

Alternately is there a trick to mounting the shock as it is?

Sure, easy, just loosen the bolt on the banjo fitting on the air shock. Just loosen until the air escapes. You don't even have to remove it all the way.
