Just place a short hose with an air valve on it upon each shock and then pump them up with a bicycle tire pump.
The sportster shocks are not designed for the weight of the wing and will bottom out at every bump, even if they were the right length and fitment to be able to mount onto the wing.

The 84-87's are 1200's, the 79-83's are 1100's, and the 75-78's are 1000's. The 88-2000's are 1500's and the 2001 to present are 1800's (with the 2010's made in 2009 and the 2011's non existent, but the 2012's made in Japan. All the older bikes from 77-2009 were made in the USA.
