Is anyone having problems accessing the site lately? I have been having problems now for about 3 days. I have not been able to access it today at all going through Internet Explorer or Netscape. I am using Firefox right now and that seems to be working pretty good.

Yes mate, it has been a bit hit and miss for me over the last couple of days. Perhaps Wingnut forgot to put money in the electric meter before he went away!:goofygrin:

Hi Chris,

Don't usually have a problem and had no problem earlier today, but this evening it took 20 minutes and several attempts to gain access. I use Internet Explorer. Other websites were available no problem, which led me to suppose there was a problem with this site.

No reported problems about this before I read this thread, except for one member who I think forgot his password, so I'm about to reset it now. I am personally finding the forum a bit slow tonight and I've fired off a message to the techs to see if the server is under pressure. In the meantime, have a look at the FAQ section, it gives you the basics of what to do if you have login problems. If anyone has specific problems, e-mail me the exact details and I'll pass them onto the forum tech guys.

I was doin' fine, then while on the site it slowed going to different pages and one posting was 'timed out' (about 5 minutes ago)

Just got a reply from the tech guys (they sure are fast at times). The server that our forum is on is a bit slow since the weekend apparently, I just noticed it tonight as I was away the weekend and am just catching up. This should be sorted in the coming hours. :waving:

Okay folks, Marty the tech guy just fixed the problem. I've tested it and it seems to be zipping along nicely now. Marty explained how he reckons this happened;

"There was reported complaints of no or slow response times on some of our hosted accounts today. I have rebooted the affected server's and everything appears to working now. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We are not sure what caused the problem, but the machines were overloaded with traffic. This should not be the case because we purposely do not over "fill" our servers with accounts. The only thing we can think of is that 1 or more customers was putting some kind of unusual load on their account backing up their site, or moving files to the site.

We again apologize. If you notice any other problems please let us know.
