Hello, I have been off of bikes for almost 30 years and last weekend I was helping a friend with his NOS assisted HD Bonneville Racer to get it back together so he could try for another record this week and while we were working Sat night he asked why I didn't have a bike anymore and the only response I could come up with was "LIFE". Got married then kids then divorced and so on and just never got back into riding again. Tim has a motorcycle repair shop and to my surprise he asked if I would like to ride again. Well who wouldn't so he had me follow him out to the storage building and pointed to an 84 (I think) Burgandy GL1200 GoldWing and proceeded to tell me that I was on my way to cruising again. A customer inherited it from his father-in-law and the father-in-laws own kids were so angry that they pushed the bike outside and left it in the weather during the winter and water got into the motor. The son-in-law lived out of state and planned on picking the bike up in the spring. Well to make this story short, I will rebuild the motor and go from there but the bike is 100% complete and my wife, nowloves the color so that is a big plus. Oh yeah another plus is the price, FREE.
