Car tire on a GL1100

Have been reading lots of the darkside conversations. Does anybody know what size car tire will mount on a 1983 GL1100 Interstate? It's got the cast tubeless wheels so the bead should be correct.

Nothing available in size except antique car tires good for a very slow stroll (and with tubes)...

That's too bad.
I've got a spare rim, better than average riding skills (even won some races on roadtrack and flat track dirt) and good health insurance! I was considering some back to back testing around a course to be able to contribute meaningful data to this debate. Oh well, I guess I'll just keep riding!
