I have been dealing with my carbs running rich on one of my 81 interstates after going through it looking for the problem I had to fix an electrical short in the fairing While doing this I found two connectors under the false tank that were not seated all the way. After finishing the repair I took the bike for test ride and carb problems were gone. This is just another thig to look at if you think there are carb problems and not burning all cylinders.:cheeky1:

I have had this on my own 1100, the big plug that connects the fairing electrics to the Wing rattles loose at times.

The carb issue actually started before the electrical problem it was while working issue with fairing electrical that I found the two loose connectors under the false tank. Apperently I was only running on two cylinders due to the lack of spark. Looks like part on my maintenance routine will be checking all connectors.
