Well, of course you can't just say aftermarket parts NEVER work well. It depends on where you get them. I had the carbs rebuilt by the dealer on my '87 Interstate, and I gave them rebuild kits from 2FastMoto. The original jets were not giving the right mixture, and the ones in the rebuild kit gave the perfect mix, so they used them instead. I think back then they were trying to reduce emissions, so went to the lean side of OK. Anyway, bike ran perfect and plugs looked great after 1,000 miles. So, there's an example where the aftermarket worked as well or better than the stock. And, it looks like the "business end" of those aftermarket jets are very close or identical to the originals, so they might work just fine. Where did you get the jets? Why are they different and can I use them?
