There are induction tachs out there - kind of pricey, though. They read the spark sent to a plug the same way that timing lights do. The device will need to be told of goldwing's firing with each revolution or you'll have to halve the count to be accurate.
I would be tempted to just listen, though. You can hear a climb of 50 revs.
