Another installment in the never-ending saga of the 1500 with everything broken. I got some '95 carbs off eBay to overhaul and put on the '88. First one's done, second one has a crack in the vacuum piston diaphragm. Might as well replace both.

Honda part number is 16111-MY4-000. Cheapest I've found is Ron Ayers Motorsports - at $90.00 each + shipping !! I paidless than thatfor both carbs !!

Has anyone found a place to get carb parts, without getting bent over and violated ??

E-mail these people, I searched their site and didn't find it but they might have a source.

DONE !! Maybe they have goodies that didn't make the online catalog.

I could always send them in to be "re-rubbered" for $175.00 apiece . . . . . . NOT.

Thanks a lot for taking the time, Dave.:waving:

When I had my 1200, I had 3 bad ones, and the fourth one was stuck.

They were $125 each for the 1200..

I was able to free up the stuck one.

I got one, NOS on e-bay for about $70.

I got two used ones on e-bay for about $35 each, but one was bad.

I got one used one from a friend for free.

Once I got them all in, the bike ran great.

If it were me, unless the one looks like it is going to give out soon, I would only replace the one that was bad.

I don't know why the ones for the 1500 are cheaper than the ones for the 1200. Isaw that when I did my 1500 carbs. I priced some out before I started the job, just in case.
