I'm with exavid: purchase the guages and perform the sync yourself. Even if you pay $50 for a set from JC Whitney, you will be ahead in $$ and time doing it just once.

Also agree about the belts. It is time that gets to them, not the miles. There are plenty of posts about changing them. Do the work in this order: Belts, valve adjustment, then sync last. Did this on my '81 and has been running like a champ ever since. When the sync is out, it's terrible.
