I am about to put my carb assy back in my gl1100 is there a way to static check for leaks? Put a hand held vac unit to draw fuel, to see weather or not I FIXED THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM? Any Ideas from any one?

Thanks

If you can hook up a gravity feed into the fuel intake (IV bottle type thing), then you can operate the floats manually to see if they shut off when the float valve is closed. Then you can also look for external leaks, or leaks into the air chamber.

Washing-up liquid bottle hooked up is what I use for this.
