CB Radio Control Modifications

Has anyone heard of or come up with an idea with the cb radio controls on the left handlebar?

I'm asking because I do not have a hondaline cb radio and find that the controls on the left side are a useless part of the bike. I'd like to take them off and put something else in its place, whether it be a light control set or a mount for a gps/ipod.

Curious to learn of any new ideas or what owners have done with the controls for those who do not have a cb radio.
