Just a guess, but if the shorter hinge section boltes on the center stand with the longer part towards the back of the bike would create an offset lever. Take less force pushing down on the stand to rock the bike backwards?? Just a guess. :baffled:

The thing never sold.. I emailed the guy to see if he'd send it to me for cheap so I could check it out.

I am concerned about the passenger boards making it hard to get on the stand though... but I have all winter to figure that out!

I would have liked to see that back when I still had my '77. It was the hardest bike to put up on the stand. Of course it was loaded with fairing, Bates bags, and boards. But I can put my 1500 up with little effort.

That item looks like it give you the little leverage needed.
