Anybody change the eye bushings on Progressive shocks? Looks like it's going to be tough. Maybe some silicone grease will help. I got a pair from 123Whitey, on EBay, and the bushings are coming apart. The shocks work fine, tho. The old bushes are a dull yellow. The new bushes are black. Poly-urethane

Plenty od WD40, squeeze the bushes in using a vice.
That's the way mechanics do it as well, don't forget top put some thick cardboard between the shock eye and the vice to prevent chipping the finish.

I've done lots of shock bushings that way, but these looked like they would be tougher than norm. They were. Took many tries, and a lot of @$#%&#@*^$,ing. These blasted Wings - - - every job is a major deal.Had to take the whole back of the bike apart, just to pull shocks. And the trailer hitch sure complicates things. But I got er! Beginning to think I'd like to go back to a BSA 650, or something. Can't imagine what an 1800 will be like!
