How does one go about correctly measuring chicken strips?

From where the tread meets the sidewall, to the center of the tire. The wider the chicken strip the less aggressive the rider. Mine are about 1/4".

If there is enough of them and they come with BBQ sauce, I'm happy.

They should reach to the bottom of the dipping sauce w/o falling in.
I'm a certified tester.

The proper way to measure a chicken strip includes using a tool known as a band abatement instrument. I think we have one in the tool loaner program... who is running that now?

Anyways, you have to clean the tire first, with something that will not make the tire slick, then make a run through the dragon. Once complete, you attach this doohicky to the left swing arm leg, and you can properly measure the distance from the unused portion of the tire, to the used portion. The dipping sauce referred to above really alludes to the willingness of the rider to actually get down on that side in the turns, so more sauce means more 'ca-hones'.

When the middle of the tread on a tire is worn out, but the tread on the sides of the tire is still like new.

These are chicken strips.

My car tire on the back wears pretty even:cheeky1:

Haggy, chicken strips are much wider for those of us that DON'T drag our pegs.
The crotch rocket, agressive riding guys don't have chicken strips, as they wear out the sides AND the bottom treads!
