I Left my 78 Wing at the dealers for a while and when I got it home I noticed that the choke cable was disconnected from the bracket near the speedometer. I thought it was an easy fix. Just slide the cable onto the bracket and tighten the nut but it is not working out.If I put it back that way,the rubber disk under the knob slides up with the knob when I pull it out. Does the rubber disk(grommet) go over or under the bracket? I've owned this machine for thirty years and I embarrassed to say that I have forgotten how the cable/knob is set up. If one of you 1000 owners would take a look at their bike and let me know I sure would appreciate it. Thanks.

if I recall... you have to pull the whole thing up quite a ways to get it to fit into the slot and then slide it back down the slot, then use the plasitc nut to hold it in place
