Hi,

Do you mean that you need just the lighter element, or the whole plug-in/socket?

Hi Rayp. You can buy waterproof ones, the type fitted to boats etc. They are only about €30 and are well worth it as the business end of the lighter clicks solidly in place when not in use.

I don't know where you are located, but WalMart (US) has waterproof lighter receptacles in their "Trailer hitch/towing" section in Automotive, priced at about $4.00. You just need to have a slightly longer power lead.

heres the site for Walmart UK http://www.asda.co.uk/asda_corp/scripts/[email protected]@@@[email protected]@@@&BV_EngineID=cccfadcmfklhggecfkfcfkjdgoodgjg.0&referer=

On the US sites it doesn't list Automotive parts that you can buy on line. (or I couldn't find it) They also state that they will not ship out of the US.

If you can't find what you are looking for, I'm sure somebody here can help you get the things you need and mail them to you. I'm sure the postage for a cig lighter is not that high.

Hi Willy,

As someone just said, there's no link on the Walmart site for the lighter, but if you want, I'd be glad to pick one up and ship it to you. I'm going to pick one up for myself in the next few days anyway, for the custom dash I'm fabricating for my GL1100.

Just so we're on the same page, this one is ust a waterproof receptacle which you can plug accessories into, not an actual lighter element (this receptacle is NOT heat resistant and cannot be used for a lighter, just as a power port.

Email me if you would like a pic of it, or if you want me to get one to you. We can work out the details later.

Jack, Yes it's a power point type that I need. A mate in the UK is sending one over and I'll have it after Christmas. Many thanks for your kind offer, sorry I just spotted it now. I appreciate it, that's what makes this place great with loads of friendly and helpful people available. HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!

I put a lighter in my 95 Asp. on the right hand side of the dash panel. Just a cheapie from Cut Rate Auto, and have had no problem with it in any weather. Plus, if you lose the cheap ones, it's only about a buck or two to replace it. As opposed to a 30# lighter.
