Does anybody know? Does a stock 1992 1500Se come with a stock cigarette plug? IF so, where is it located?

I FINALLY put the fears on the shelf & took my newly acquired 1500 out for it's first spin last nite. Not bad at all, but there's whole bunch of stuff I wanna get for it...highway pegs, floorboards. air wings, reinforcing brace for saddlebags (if even there is such a thing), a helmut holder for handlebars (basically just a peg to put the helmet on), a trailer hitch (for sure) & that's about it I think for now.

I have a 95 1500 SE and it did not come with a cigarette lighter. None of the other 1500s that I have looked at came with one either. Most people I know have installed them either in the left pocket or somewhere else that was convenient and logical for them.
Your list of updates looks pretty much like mine except for the helmet pegs - I have seen a couple of people place their helmets on the mirrors (full face or modular with the face looking down.) The helmet is very secure and I have ridden about a mile with the helmet on the mirror - when I needed to move the bike in a hurry.
A lot of people also like to put lots of Safety Chrome on their wings and lots of extra lights too. Me I like a really loud horn!:action:The cages with blinders on don't seem to notice the stock horns but a really loud air horn gets their attention!:D

Congratulations on your madden ride. As intimidating as these bikes can be due to their size, their handling abilities more than make up for that weight. I like all the additions you want to add, their on my wish list as well, but Im going to go slow till I know exactly what I want, and what I need. I want a few more dress lights, but not gonna do it till I can take the lights that I have and convert them to LED to take the load off the electrical system.

Thanx for the congrats...Feels good to get that fear out of the way. I just have to work on my cornering.

I'm just trying to find out if a cig lighter plug was standard equipment on a 1992 1500SE.

And also where a good place is to get all of those accessories I want. I checked ebay & can't find any.

Do u know what the difference is between the GL 1500 & the 1500SE? (Does "SE" stand for Special Edition? If so, what makes it so special? (I got lots of questions!)

I went from a 76 GL1000 to a 95 GL1500SE over two years (and over 27,000 miles) ago. I still have my 1000 and ride it on occasion so I know how it is with differences in handling. Just put some miles on her and you will get used to it real quick.
As for places to get parts and accessories I have ordered them from
http://www.chromeworld.com/,
http://www.jcwhitney.com/motorcycle-parts-motorcycle-accessories/j3s2.jcwx,
http://www.saber-cycle.com/store/GL1500Catalog.html,
and http://wingstuff.com/cat_gl1500.php to name a few.
Just search the web, there are lots of parts and dress up items available just factor in the shipping charges when doing comparisons.

PS For exploded diagrams of the bike I usually go to http://www.bikebandit.com/honda-mot...parts&utm_campaign=hondastreetmotorcycleparts.

Steer cleat of Sabre Cycle. Not very customer friendly if I remember.

Add Venco Wings. Jim is great to deal with.

As far as cornering oes, remember to always look as far into the corner as possible not just what is immediately in front of you. Get the big picture. You would be surprised at what a difference that alone makes.

Also, get in the habit of pull right on the handle bar, turn left. Pull left, turn right.

Get in the habit of doing these and you'll be scraping off the footpegs in no time.

The other way is to push on the left to turn left or push on the right to turn right, but either way it works.

Oh and I've had nothing but good experiences with www.wingstuff.com however they don't have the exploded parts view that I like so I look for the OEM parts on Bikebandit or other sites then look up the part number on wingstuff and other sites to see if they have it cheaper.

I don't know about your bike since my only wing has been a 04 GL1800, but mine has the helmet hooks on the back under the trunk that work great. The good thing about them is they are out of the way, the bad thing is they are out of the way. lol

Congratulations on your new GW.

I have a 95 SE and it didn't come with a lighter plug. I installed one in my right side glove box. I like it on that side so I can put my Cell Phone, I-Pod, or run the power cord for my GPS in it and keep it locked. I just notched out the edge under the lid to run the cord out to the GPS.
