HI everyone, my 81 Interstate is coming along great I think. I replaced the carbs with a set of 83's off ebay, & after rebuilding them she runs nice:). I'm changing the tires this weekend. when i took off the rear wheel and removed the final drive the grease inside looked NASTY, so i cleaned out the hub with a nylon brush and Brakeclean. I'm planning on going back out today and finish the rear wheel. I was wondering if it's ok to clean out the final drive the same way. and just replace with new grease.
Thanks for any ideas on this matter,

I use any solvent handi..but in replacing the grease only use a 60% moly Mother HOnda for that $13 a tube....all others will be spun out and not work for long. Also do the final drive..shaft same way..
