I reslly gotta strretch just to get mt finger tips onto the clutch lever, been thinking I just may have the wrong one. If you have and are willing to part with the part,I would be willing to have the part your willing to part with. PM

I think all 1100 levers are like that unless you can find some dog leg levers that will work.

Have a set of OEM 1500 levers (clutch/brake) if they will work.

There are some aftermarket levers for the GL1100 that have the dogleg. I have a pair on my 1100 and love them.

brake lever to grip 2 3/4.
clutch lever to grip 5 1/2.

Sounds like the wrong lever, my 83 had about the same distance to the grips.

I just went out and measured 1 I have handy and it is 5" from the tip of the clutch lever to the tip of the grip, the brake lever is 4" but it is obviously bent out a little on the end.

Sorry, They are different on each series, 1100, 1200, 1500, & 1800. Not sure on the 1000.

A 1500 has a hydraulic clutch, as does the 1200 and 1800, the 1100 and 1000s have a cable operated clutch so obviously the lever won't work.
